About Mr. Booth

I grew up in Vermont and moved to Arizona after my college graduation.  I have been teaching in DVUSD since 2001 and at Desert Mountain since 2007.  I am the Athletic Coordinator for middle school sports, Webmaster and Wellness Coordinator.  I have 2 awesome kids, my daughter is a Senior and my son is a Sophomore, both at NAU.

Sick or not feeling well

If your child is sick or not feeling well please send in a note or email to Mr. Booth with a quick explanation.

Injuries or surgeries

If you your child has had an injury or surgery please send in a note or email Mr. Booth with a quick explanation and when they will be released to participate in PE.  

Students are required to where some type of athletic or tennis shoe. 

What's not allowed:

Any shoe with a heel

Boots

Crocks

open toe shoe, sandals or flip flops

Tennis at Home

They will be sharing tennis tips and fun activities to keep everyone in the family active and occupied. We’ll also be soon adding tennis-themed educational content from the USTA Foundation's Academic Creative Engagement (A.C.E.) Curriculum to make sure the learning, and the fun, doesn’t have to stop. 

The 2024-2025 Field Day is quickly approaching.  K-3 will have their field day on April 24th from 9:00-1:30.  4-8 will have their field day on April 25th from 9:25-2:15.  Please make sure your son or daughter have water, hats are always good and sun screen.  Also, make sure they have comfortable cloths (school appropriate) and tennis or athletic shoes.  They have to wear shoes during all events.  No sandals, flip flops or anything with a heal.  Each groups Field Day map and Schedule will be posted.  families are welcome to come watch, but have to check in with the front office.  

What students will need for Field Day:  Water, hat, sunscreen, comfortable clothing (school appropriate), tennis or athletic shoes.

How long are the events:  Each event is 20 minutes with a 5 minute passing time.

Can families come and watch:  Families can come and watch, they just need to check in with the front office.  

Lunch:  Students will eat lunch at their normal time.  After lunch they will come out and finish Field Day.
