About Me:
Welcome to Kindergarten at Desert Mountain School!
I will be your teacher this year in Kindergarten
This is my 22nd year teaching kindergarten and my fourth year at Desert Mountain. I absolutely love teaching kindergarten! It is an amazing time of growth, exploration, and discovery. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching how much children grow throughout the year and seeing the world through their eyes.
I am the proud mom of two wonderful children. My son is an athletic trainer and sports medicine teacher at a local high school, and his wife is a speech-language pathologist. My daughter lives in Montana with her husband, their new baby girl, two horses, two cats, and a puppy. She is also a kindergarten teacher, and her husband is a firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service.
In my free time, I enjoy history, cooking, gardening, and learning new things. I also have three dogs named Finley, Valor, and Roxy.

We hope to see you at our Open House on Thursday, July 30, from 4:00–5:00 p.m. Please bring your school supplies and a smile! This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your teacher, explore the classroom, and meet your new classmates. Everyone is invited!
School begins Monday, August 3. Please arrive between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m. Families are welcome to walk their child to the classroom on the first day of school. To help make the transition easier, please remember our saying: "Quick good-bye for drier eyes!"
We are going to have a fantastic year together! We will make new friends, discover many exciting things, and have lots of fun while learning. I am so happy to have you in our class this year!
