Mrs. Krause
This year marks my 19th year at Desert Mountain. I have been teaching for a total of 23 years. I have taught kindergarten, second grade, and third grade. Third grade is my absolute favorite!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We have 3 children; Jessica, Parker, and Payton. I have one dog, and his name is Spokes. He is a funny and playful dachsund. I enjoy being outdoors, especially camping and riding the trails in my SXS. I love to explore Arizona. I love working out at the gym, watching movies, hiking, getting pedicures, and shopping.
My goal is to push my students to have a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. Kids with a growth mindset believe their abilities can improve over time. It is the way we face challenges and setbacks. I will continually encourage a growth mindset, and praise the process. I look for ways to help students find relevance and connections to what they are learning. Students will take ownership of their learning by identifying student learning goals, as well as the success criteria for these goals.
I look forward to meeting my new students and families. Together it is going to be a fantastic 23-24 school year!
